Berlin's famous Brandenburg Gate was lit up in blue and white to show Germany's solidarity with Israel amid the country's war with Hamas. The militant group launched an attack on Tel Aviv on Saturday, killing more than 200 people.
"Thank you to all of you around the world for your constant messages of support and solidarity. This is a dark day for all of us here in Israel, but we can feel your love and warmth from miles away," Israel thanked Germany.
Meanwhile, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock strongly condemned the "terrorist attacks" from Gaza on Israel, saying Tel Aviv has the right to "protect itself from terror".

The Israeli defense forces on social media gave an update on the situation since the Hamas attack. It said, "3,000+ rockets have launched by Hamas in Gaza toward Israel, 20+ communities in southern Israel invaded by Hamas terrorist operatives, Terrorists rampaged and broke into homes—massacring civilians, Israeli civilians and soldiers have been abducted within Israel and taken hostage into Gaza, 200+ casualties have been reported and 1,000+ are injured."
The UK, US, India and Germany have shown solidarity to Israel amid the attack.
US President Joe Biden addressed the situation, saying "The United States stands with Israel. There is never justification for terrorist attacks."
He added that the US will have Israel's back. "We will make sure that they have the help their citizens need, and they can continue to defend themselves," the president said.
Indian PM Narendra Modi also showed support for Israel.
